KATHY WAS DOING WELL UNTIL HER HUSBAND PASSED AWAY, AND HER ADDICTION CAUGHT UP WITH HER.
Kathy is an incredible artist, skilled in the game of golf and knowledgeable on a number of subjects including cooking and homemaking. She was doing really well until the day her husband passed away and her addiction caught up with her.
Life was hard after the death of her husband and Kathy faced some hiccups. She found herself living in a truck with a friend, homeless and with little hope to be found. After several years of homelessness, she became hardened.
Step by step, Kathy sought recovery through Celebrate Recovery, leading her to Flenniken Landing and a community that would commit to walking with her through her good bad and ugly. She has seen so much success in her recovery that she was able to serve wine at communion for a Celebrate Recovery event. Today, Kathy has transformed from being really hard to being warm and inviting. Kathy still misses her husband everyday and loves her son an enormous amount. By becoming a resident at Flenniken she has been able to overcome her obstacles and live a fuller life.
